ESKA Awards Night 2023
Slightly earlier than normal by a few weeks, this year’s association awards on November 3rd were held at the Cromwell Hotel. We would like to congratulate the following for their achievements:

Peter Cox Award Cup
Junior Shodans who achieved their black belt in a pandemic were jointly awarded the “Peter Cox” cup. Throughout the year each student will keep the cup for a month. The 1st student in our club was Jacob.
KYU Grading December 2021
This year our club gave three demonstrations to the parents and karateka at the KYU grading. Oliver with his Bo, Harry with his Nunchukus and Matthew demonstrating the application of kata (with the use of Sensei Masaya). They gave a great performance.
ESKA Dinner & Dance Ball 2021
This year’s award night was a great event for our club members. This was the first awards ceremony in two years, so we had quite a lot to present.

Back training!
It has been the strangest of years but we are back training outside. All social distancing measures are in place. After 10 weeks of Zoom we are so glad to see everyone in person.

This year’s awards go to Oliver and Daisy. Oliver received the lower grade award and Daisy the higher grade award. This involves commitment and regular attendance.

Black Belts May 2018
Congratulation to Nigel for passing his Black Belt at the grading yesterday (12/05/18). Well deserved. Also a well done to Graham who trains regularly with us at the club.

This year we were pleased to award Stanley and Oliver the Knebworth Karate Club Student of the year awards. Stanley was awarded the lower grade trophy and Oliver the higher grade trophy.

We celebrated Ben being awarded his Shodan and Matthew his Nidan. Matthew was also awarded the Peter Cox Spirit cup for his outstanding dedication to karate this year.
Knebworth Karate Club First Aid Course
This years annual Knebworth First Aid Course for Instructors was held at Stevenage Leisure Centre. Another great, friendly course run by Sarah McGuinness from Critical Response, covering a range of key subjects including CPR, Defibrillation, Critical Illness, major bleeds and Diabetes, plus several other important topics. These are 2-hour training sessions, packed with specific content tailored for our Karate Classes. As always, the course was well attended and any Knebworth Karate Student wishing to acquire their first aid certificate should contact Sensei Tony Stones. Email: tony@knebworthkarateclub.org.uk
